The preeminent annual scientific and educational conference covers the full scope of the obesity issue, from cutting edge basic science and clinical research to intervention and public policy discussions that can impact the quality of life for millions affected by obesity.

Who Should Attend?

The session topics and presentations selected by the members of the Annual Scientific Meeting Program Committee are intended to meet the needs of researchers and healthcare professionals who want to be updated on advances in the prevention, treatment, causes, and health consequences of obesity. This includes basic and clinical research scientists, physicians (general medicine, internal medicine, family medicine, endocrinology, surgery, pediatrics, psychiatry), dietitians, psychologists, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, rehabilitation/exercise therapists, physical/occupational therapists, clinicians, nutritionists, trainees, students, social workers, policy makers and administrators with an interest in adult and childhood obesity and other allied health professionals.

Regular Abstract Submission

Thank you to the authors of the nearly 900 abstracts submitted to TOS Annual Meeting at ObesityWeek 2015. Following careful peer review, the abstracts submitted as part of the regular submission period (April - May 2015) have been selected for oral or poster presentation. Notifications have been sent to the main author/submitter of the abstract. If you are the main abstract submitter and did not receive notification, please first check your spam filter and junkmail folders and then contact Akshar Patel at with your inquiry.

Late-Breaking Abstract Submission 

Those who collected or analyzed new data after May 11 submitted through TOS's late-breaking abstract submission process, which is now closed. Late breaking abstracts must describe high impact research for data that were not available or fully analyzed at the standard (May 2015) abstract deadline. 

Late-Breaking Abstract submission Guidelines

Submit your late-breaking abstracts to the following tracks:
    •    Metabolism and Integrative Physiology
    •    Neuroscience
    •    Intervention and Clinical Studies
    •    Population Health
    •    Policy

Our team of experts will review and accept abstracts to be presented as either oral or poster presentations.

Submit papers for the Obesity Journal Symposium!

Present at the Obesity Journal Symposium at ObesityWeek 2015

The Editorial Team of Obesity seeks submission of high-quality manuscripts for the 3rd annual Obesity Journal Symposium to be presented at ObesityWeek 2015 in Los Angeles, CA. The Editors will select 4 to 6 winning papers to be presented at this symposium during The Obesity Society meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 4 at 5:15pm. The session will be promoted to the obesity research community and to the press. In addition, the winning papers will be published in a special section of the November 2015 issue of Obesity.

Obesity Journal Symposium presentations: An author of each winning paper will give a 10-minute oral presentation followed by a 5-minute discussion.

Obesity publication: A special section at the front of the November 2015 issue of Obesity will be reserved for the Symposium winners.

Poster Printing Services

One option for poster printing is to use ObesityWeek's poster printing service. Presenters may place orders online and pick up their posters onsite in Boston. Click here for additional information and pricing.

This year, TOS posters will each display a custom QR code allowing you to access a PowerPoint deck and/or audio recording from the author explaining the research behind the poster. Instructions for scanning a QR code on your smart phone will be posted in the Exhibit Hall.
